Dutch dealer to electrify fleet
Seven new electric motoryachts commissioned for the coming season
Citing statistics that indicate tourism is responsible for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, a Dutch yacht dealer/charter company contends electric boats would enable emission-free boating, and has commissioned seven new electric motoryachts for the coming season.
Family-owned Natural Yachts predicts that the company’s seven e-yachts will save 86 tonnes of CO2compared to a diesel-powered boat. Seven diesel boats would emit as much CO2 in the eight-month rental season as 18 Dutch households in an entire year.
