His previous roles include 10 years at McLaren Automotive, as well as tenures at Element Six, Volkswagen, PA Consulting and Accenture. He will also join the Cox executive committee.

Cox Marine partners with Gulf YachtsCox Marine, manufacturer of the CXO300 high-powered diesel outboard engine, has announced an expanded contract with UAE partner Gulf Yachts to cover additional regions as exclusive distributor. The Doha-based company is increasing its territories beyond Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Lebanon to also distribute in UAE and Bahrain – a growth strategy that confirms Gulf Yachts as Cox Marine’s largest distributor in terms of volume of sales.

To back the expansion, Diesel Power has also recruited Mats Hallberg as its export sales manager for Cox Marine. With responsibility for all the company’s territories, Hallberg brings extensive experience of working with leading OEMs, including Yanmar Marine, to his new position.

As part of this project, Cox will be working with the University of Brighton to convert one of the company’s CXO300 diesel outboard engines to operate as a dual fuel hydrogen engine and to demonstrate the engine operating in the port environment.

Cox Marine announces further recruitment drive as it ramps up production
UK diesel outboard manufacturer prepares to boost production of the CXO300. Cox Marine, the UK diesel outboard manufacturer, has confirmed details of its latest Careers Open Day on 23 October as it seeks to recruit around 15 new employees. The company says it is looking to fill 10 vacancies in production – three positions in logistics, two in quality and a number of other positions in its sales and engineering divisions - due to its consistently growing order book. Backed by a strong base of shareholders and private investors, Cox is responsible for the 300hp CXO300 marine diesel engine which entered production in the summer of 2020. Production is now entering its second shift and is about to ramp up.
